A full-day journey combining towns, landscapes, wine, and local culture — guided personally by Fabrizio.
This is a full-day private wine experience guided by me, Fabrizio, a local host in Val d’Orcia. We visit two family-owned wineries for vineyard walks, cellar tours, and relaxed tastings of Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, and Orcia DOC wines.
Perfect for couples and small groups who want a relaxed, personal wine day—without crowded tasting rooms. Make your wine tour extra special by adding a winery lunch or a private chef experience in the countryside.
I keep this experience limited to small, private groups so the day stays relaxed and personal.
I focus on small, family-run wineries in Val d’Orcia where the people you meet are often the same ones who planted the vines, worked the cellar, and bottled the wine you’ll taste.
You’ll explore Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, and Orcia DOC wines in settings that are quiet, scenic, and far from crowded tasting rooms.
Many guests like to combine this day with my Private Tour of Pienza and Montepulciano to explore the historic towns behind some of Tuscany’s most famous wines.
We begin in the hill town of Pienza, known for its Renaissance design and Pecorino cheese. If you’d like, we’ll stop for a small gelato before heading into the countryside.
On the drive to our first winery, we pass through some of Val d’Orcia’s most photographed landscapes, including Cypress Road and film locations featured in Gladiator, Under the Tuscan Sun, and The English Patient. I keep the timing flexible so we can linger where you’re enjoying it most—views, vineyards, or village streets.
At the first family-owned winery, you’ll walk through the vineyards and cellars while I introduce you to the winemaking process, followed by a guided tasting in a quiet, unhurried setting.
We then continue to a second winery, where another local family shares their approach to wine, tradition, and life in the Tuscan countryside, ending with a final tasting overlooking the surrounding hills.
If you’d like to turn this into a full-day exploration beyond wine, many guests choose Fabrizio’s Ultimate Tuscan Tour, which blends towns, landscapes, and local culture into one longer experience.
If you’d like to slow the pace and turn the afternoon into a longer countryside meal, you can add one of the following experiences.
If you’d prefer a fully personalized route, you can design your own day through my Custom Tuscany Tours, combining wine with villages, food stops, or scenic drives.
