San Gimignano

San Gimignano is known for its medieval towers, panoramic viewpoints, and the local white wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano. We’ll explore the historic center and choose stops based on what you enjoy most.

  • Walk through the historic center and browse artisan shops along the main streets.
  • Stop for gelato in Piazza della Cisterna if you’d like a quick sweet break.
  • Visit the Duomo and Museum or climb Torre Grossa for panoramic views (tickets not included, based on availability).
  • If you enjoy wine, we can stop for a glass of Vernaccia di San Gimignano in a local spot.

Monteriggioni

Next we visit Monteriggioni, a small walled village famous for its intact medieval walls and countryside views. It’s a great stop for photos and a short, quiet walk.

  • Walk inside the walls and enjoy views over the surrounding countryside.
  • Learn about the Via Francigena and why this fortress mattered historically.
  • Take your time for photos in the main square and along the walls (when accessible).
